2. The Service and government disclaimer
Carrierintel is an independent software and analytics service that organizes public transportation records and produces derived carrier information. It is not FMCSA, the U.S. Department of Transportation, or another government agency, and it is not endorsed or certified by them.
Carrierintel indicators, classifications, correlations, and risk grades are not official safety ratings, enforcement decisions, insurance advice, legal advice, or a substitute for checking an authoritative government source.
3. Accounts and security
Users must provide accurate account information, protect their credentials and verification factors, and notify Carrierintel of suspected unauthorized access. Accounts may not be shared, transferred, or used to conceal the identity of a person performing prohibited activity.

4. Data sources, accuracy, and inferred information
Government and other source records can be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, or incorrect. Carrierintel may also make probabilistic inferences and combine records using software. Users must verify material information before making business, compliance, safety, credit, insurance, or contracting decisions.
An owner ethnicity or origin value is inferred by a model from an officer name. It may be wrong, is not a verified personal attribute, and is not an official FMCSA record. It must not be treated as fact or used to facilitate unlawful discrimination or exclusion.
5. Acceptable use
A user may access the Service only for lawful business, research, or informational purposes.
A user must not:
- use the Service to discriminate unlawfully or make prohibited eligibility decisions;
- use Carrierintel as a consumer report or for a purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act;
- misrepresent data, classifications, or analytics as an official government finding;
- bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, or other security controls;
- probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or introduce malicious code into the Service;
- access another person's account or collect account credentials without authorization;
- repackage or resell Carrierintel's derived analytics except under an applicable written license.

6. Public data and Carrierintel materials
Rights in source records remain subject to the source agency's terms and applicable law. Carrierintel does not claim ownership of facts merely because they appear in the Service. Carrierintel retains rights in its software, branding, original text, selection and presentation, and derived analyses to the extent permitted by law.

7. Corrections and disputes about data
Official FMCSA records should be challenged through the applicable FMCSA process, including DataQs. Carrierintel must provide a separate route to dispute locally derived analytics, inferred ethnicity, officer selection, and other information that FMCSA cannot correct.

8. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
Payments are not enabled in the current build. Production terms must describe each paid plan, billing cycle, automatic renewal, taxes, trials, upgrades, downgrades, cancellation timing, refunds, failed payments, price changes, and Stripe's role before checkout is offered.

9. Suspension, termination, and Service changes
Carrierintel may restrict access needed to protect users, data, infrastructure, or legal compliance, including for suspected abuse or breach of the final terms. Production terms must define notice, cure, account export, termination, and post-termination data handling.
10. Availability and warranty draft
The intended Service is provided on an as-available basis. Source systems, data feeds, and software can be unavailable or inaccurate, and Carrierintel cannot promise uninterrupted access or a particular business outcome.
